The Gila Valley located in Graham County is a great place to live and work. Located between two Mountain ranges, it offers many opportunities for people tired of the hustle and bustle of the big city. Comprised mainly of the Town of Thatcher and the City of Safford. The Gila Valley offers a variety of things you wont find in other small towns. Eastern Arizona College, which offers a number of degrees for students young and old. The Mount Graham International Observatory is home of The Large Binocular telescope, the world’s most powerful optical telescope. Tours of the Large Binocular telescope are offered during the summer and are a great opportunity to get out of the summer heat and enjoy beautiful Mount Graham.
